He then appeared and played guitar during the group finale with Willie Nelson leading the way on "America the Beautiful." On Wednesday September 19th, 2001 Graham Nash appeared with VH1 personality Rebecca Rankin on "VH1 News Special: Listening to America" During the course of the show I caught Graham's PSA for the American Red Cross. CSN performed 3 songs on the Tonight Show starring Jay Leno this past Tuesday September 18th, 2001. They played Daylight Again >> Find the Cost of Freedom Half Your Angels (a Graham Nash unreleased song) My Country Tis of Thee This was the first Tonight show that was to be back on the air since it had been pre-empted by breaking news since the World Trade Center disaster September 11th, 2001. The guys put in an excellent performance - sans band. It was a tremendous compliment to have CSN be asked to work this very muched anticipated come back. Kuddos to Mr Leno for having the foresight to book these guys- the voice of our generation. And to the guys for forging ahead and being who they are, people in tune with the times and the feelings of the public.
