PRESS RELEASE:
PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION opens May 24, 2001:
ROBERT WEINGARTEN: Intimate Vision
Robert Weingarten takes lucent natural elements and weaves them with his
painter's pallete into collages of color and form that compel
the viewer to
examine and contemplate the world around us. His earthscapes are
quiet in
their radiance, and resplendent in his interpretation, on exhibition
at
Howard Schickler Gallery, May 24 to July 20.

GRAHAM NASH: New York Portfolio
Long known for his prodigious work in the music industry for the
past four
decades, Graham Nash's visual artistry is equally vital. His circumspect
revelations in photography take on an extrasensory perspective,
as witnessed
in the inaugural release of his New York Portfolio on exhibition
at
Howard Schickler Gallery from May 24 to July 20.
Howard Schickler Gallery, founded in 1975, has recently moved
to the newly
revitalized waterfront area DUMBO, adjacent to Brooklyn Heights
and the
River Cafe. The area is studded with 19th century warehouses,
cobblestone
streets, and familiar views of the Manhattan skyline. Please join
us for an
opening with both artists present from 7 to 9 pm on Thursday,
May 24, 2001.

McCartney, Stills, Springsteen and Raitt under the influence of Dylan
Excerpt: "Sundry 60's peers enjoyed parallel ascents but still took cues
from the
maverick wordsmith. 'I got good grades on all my papers, but it
took
Dylan to get me to write,' says Stephen Stills."

From the May/June issue of Revolver Magazine
Dave Marsh reviews 2 new Jimi Hendrix DVD's
Electric Ladyland & Experience Jimi Hendrix
"Electric Ladyland is the story of the making of the last complete
Hendrix studio album. It's finest moments come from the commentary
by
Eddie Kramer, Chas Chandler, Mitch Mitchell, and Buddy Miles
all key Hendrix musical associates, as well as more
peripheral figures like MIKE FINNIGAN, who played organ
on the album..."

In the May 24th, 2001 issue of Rolling Stone
David Fricke writes a feature on Super Session
"RS Hall of Fame: Super Session"
Giving it 4 **** stars
QUOTE: "The Stills numbers are pretty fine, too:
The mod-cowboy jangle he drapes over Dylan's,
"It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry,"
the sexy dread of his wah-wah yelps in
"Season of the Witch." ...

NEW PRESS RELEASE

A few fun things on a Friday...
Here is a letter I received in the early 80's from Atlantic Records.
I had written them looking for CSN tour information...
This is the stock letter they sent me...
Notice the spelling at the bottom.. SCN!?!

Village Voice ad
From September 1979
I wanted to go to this show, but couldn't catch a ride out there.
I did hear some of it that was broadcast on the radio via King
Biscuit.
Notice the spelling for STEPHEN... I corrected it myself in the
ad...
Still irks me anytime I see it spelled wrong ... PH not a V!
